A typeface for ornate and festive display, Nutcracker, Font Bureau’s Christmas typeface, is based on a fanciful calligraphic titling designed by lettering artist Richard Lipton for the adventurous Boston publisher David Godine, who used it to highlight the cover of a Christmas cut-out book on the ballet.

Lipton completed the alphabets to develop this promising start into a complete display typeface, a Font Bureau original.
