The Weidemann font’s original name was Biblica, as it was designed for the collaboration of the Catholic and Protestant churches in the publication of a bible. The mass of text for which the font was intended meant that many characters needed to fit onto one line but without rendering the words illegible. Thus, narrow spaces do not compromise the legibility or the elegance of Weidemann.
