Center Slab FONT Download
Designer: Max Phillips
Publisher: Signal
A funny thing happened when we added serifs to our best-selling Center family: its look went from digital to analog. Maybe it's because slab serifs have their roots in 19th Century ‘Egyptians,' or because monoline serif faces inevitably suggest typewriters. In any case, we like its firm but modest air of clarity, and hope its squarish rounds and angled arches provide a fresh approach to the slab serif genre.
Center Slab can be bookish or jockish, informal or severe. Like its sans companion, it offers nine weights with matching italics, tabular figures that duplex across all weights, case-sensitive forms, and an array of cursive-style alternates. And of course, it also supports over 130 languages.
